After Christmas we will be doing this!
We will be building a Rube Goldberg Device in class so please collect materials from around the house.

Here are the Rules: You are not allowed to use any form of chemical energy nor are you allowed to use any form of pressurized material of any type.  All energy must be from Springs (pre appoval needed) or gravity.

For those assigned tables you must have atleast 5 steps to move the ball from .5 meters high to the level of the table top.

For those with the gaps you must move the ball in atleast 3 steps from the table top to the surface of the table.

I can give you a pass into the building, or come when they let you in


Research Assignment: (For those not working on a project.)

Find an article that you liked from the ones you have been reading. Then find a real journal article that is on a similar topic. Real journals are things like the Journal Science. You must get the journal article approved by your research teacher. You will then need to answer the following questions: What did you find interesting about this topic. Give us insight into how you got to this article. What does the article say in your own words. Review the statistics and discuss what math is used. Discuss what you would do differently and what other research is needed in this area. This is not an easy assignment you will need to spend a significant amount of time on this to answer these questions completely. There is no limit to the work you can do on this. Take as many or as few pages as you thing you need. All of these assignments must be submitted using Google Documents. You can create it with MS Word and then upload it or you can create it directly in Google Documents. You can find Google Documents by searching for it on Google. Please share your assignment with pmhsresearch@gmail.com or with Mr. Pearson at rjpearso@gmail.com. There is large button at the top right of the google documents screen. Follow the instructions to share your document with us. If that fails. Email it to either of the gmail addresses. The week before the end of the 3rd quarter.
